Gurudwara Sheetal Kund, Rajghir, Bihar (for Mega Event i)

This Gurudwara Sahib is a sacred site of Government of Bihar’s religious tourism circuit. At the request of the relevant authorities GNNSJ India began this project in January 2019 as a commemoration of the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji (Mega Event i). The Sheetal Kund is a well of cold drinking water blessed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, in an area of hot springs. The project has entailed Heritage and Public Benefit works as outlined below.

Remarkable Act of National Cohesion:

The formation of the Khalsa Panth took place in 1699, 24 years after the supreme sacrifice made by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Guru Gobind Singh Ji exalted the Panj Pyaray (five beloved ones, see map below), each originally from a different caste, from a different state and with a different vocation. This religious act illustrates Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s philosophy and the approach of Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha (India).
